Hello Pertti;

That's what I've always said, one has to ask the specialists to get the
right anweres!

...How remotedly do you want to do it? There is an extension
cable with the length of 10 meters available for the TC-80 N3.

I think, I need a t l e a s t 15 meters (better 20), but that cable
would be very interesting at all! Can you tell me, whether it is from
Canon and what's its exact name?

...Or you could make a specific circuit to control the shutter
and connect it to a local laptop, if you need to operate
it from really far away...

The second PC is not the problem, we have one in the observatory, which
is already remotely controlled from the controlling room, but what
circuit and with what kind of software, because RemoteAccess and the
Canon cable does not work, as we now knowfrom Your mail!

...Use the camera self-timer mode in addition to using the remote, and
add 2-3 seconds to the exposure time - then it works with only
4 exposures.

Thanks, I'll give that a try

Best regards from rainy Munich!

Peter
