Hi all,

I'm a newcomer to the group. Haven't purchased a digital camera yet.
I'm still using film...but not for long!

I have looked through a lot of the posts on this site and I have read
a LOT of reviews on the cameras available at the moment.

I'd like some real experiences from the digital astro users to help
me decide which camera to buy.

Can anyone who has a Canon EOS300D (Digital Rebel in the U.S.) give
me a quick few bullet points on the pros and cons of this camera.

It looks like it's the workhorse of many of you and seems to be
giving fantastic results. Some of my main concerns are:

- what is battery life like when it's cold out there?
- can you attach the body to the telescope to do prime-focus work?
- what's the maximum exposure time? or is there no limit?
- is it worth buying the 15-55mm lens or should I just go for the
body and get other EF lenses?

Thanks in advance
Jerry
