Scientifically oriented people are never satisfied and are driven by
optimism and inquisition. Canon too, developed a better design over
the D60, not by resting on their prior accomplishment, but by evolving.

That improvement is sought in the 10D's performance shouldn't be
misconstrued as being unappreciative of its capabilities or the
imagery it produces.

That some of us seek improvement shouldn't be reprimanded, but
encouraged. Improvement can't happen without first discerning
shortcommings. Surely, those individuals you mention would strive to
take matters even further. Thats why they excelled in the first place.
