[digital_astro] M42 The Great Orion Nebula

Hello, I just had to write...
When I first took a picture of the the Orion Nebula and it appeared
on my cameara's LCD it was one of those "WoW" moments. Digital can
just bring out the colors so much better than I can see through my
eyepiece. Ever since that cold winter night I have been trying to get
a better and better picture of this beautiful sight. I finally
managed to get a better one than my best so far.

It's on my picture site in the Nebula area at
 http://www.geocities.com/keithnk_m42

Now this picture is not the greatest picture of M42 ever seen by any
means, in fact by the standards of many pictures shown here it's
below average, but it is the best one I've been able to get so far
with my 8" scope and 15 second max exposure Canon G2. It's just the
fun and thrill of getting something so beautiful a step better again
than my previous attempts. Just want to say thanks to those who write
and contribute here so one can learn.

Keith
