Another great image!
Thanks for the "guide image". :) I'm working on my wide field shot (200mm
focal length) of the belt and sword of Orion and I needed a reference for
what the Alnitak neighborhood is supposed to look like. :)
Actually, what I got is nowhere near this, but my imaging session was cut
short by clouds. I'd planned on capturing a lot more total exposure time.
I'm going to see what I can do with what I got, but while I managed to
capture IC434 I didn't get near that amount of detail out of it.

I've included a description of the region and provided details about
the image processing. The use of the background compensation
feature in ImagesPlus was essential for removing mild vignetting.
I'm pleased with the amount of faint nebulosity in the shot, but it
needs more work with longer exposure of certain regions (like
IC434), and shorter exposures of others (like the region around
Alnitak). I like the colors rendered by the 10D- I think that Doc
G. made this point in a previous post as well.
