So you want to defect to Canon :-) Well, I am leaning toward the new
Olympus E-1. Canon is OK, but IMO, the Olympus has some features
that appeal to me. The Kodak CCD for one. The Kodak chip has been a
very sensitive performer in the astro-imaging, but that's a minor
point. The Olympus body a full pound lighter than the Canon. For
me, light is good! In keeping with the traditional ease in focusing,
the 1.8" LCD and built-in magnifier is really nice. The camera is
reviewed at dpreview.com for details. I've been using my C3030 for
Mars, and my next outing will be using 640x240 TIFF to get more
details....Good luck with the Canon...
