I have had several occasions of "system errors" on my two 885s and my 4500.
Not related to any particular environmental condition, as far as I have
noticed. These have always been "cured" by taking out the battery and
reinserting it. Sort of a reboot. If that doesn't work, it probably requires
a trip to Nikon, if still within the 1 year warranty period. Some people
like to send their cameras in to Nikon Service slightly before warranty end
anyway just for recalibration etc. -Linda
