disabled, there seems to be some oddities like really significant
delays before the autofocus mechanism kicks(~5 seconds before it even
tries) in and the camera even attempts to prepare for a shot. And
[DS:] I had the same problem with a Coolpix885 after I sent it in and
Nikon repair messed everything up. They had indicated that they had
flashed the camera with the updated firmware but I don't know why
because I had flashed it myself before I sent it in with no problems.
They had also replaced the lens assembly and other changes as well and
didn't know which had caused the problem.
This probably doesn't help but perhaps the flash wasn't successful. Just
a guess.
then a full depressing of the button doesn't always trigger a photo
to be taken. If I turn the LCD back on and attempt the same shot,
[DS:] This is also what the camera did but it also sometimes didn't take
the photo with the LCD on.
