[NikonCoolPix] Nikon support & replacement camera

Hi all, Remember me? I had to send in my Coolpix 885 three times and
they replaced it with a 4300 the last time.

Well, I'm glad to have a working camera again but I found out that
Coolpix cameras differ. I don't know if I had a ecceptionally good
camera in the 885 that I had at first or what but after using the new
4300 a while now I have found that the old 885 took MUCH MUCH sharper
photo's than my new 4300. Also, the 4300 when at the highest resolution,
which is higher than the 885, the photo's look kinda grainy and I was
just wondering if the 4300 uses image resize to increase the resolution
instead of being an actual 4MP camera. OR Did I just have a very good
885 the first time?

One more observation. When in manual mode the 885 gave actual focus in
Feet instead of just a variable bar as in the 4300.
