I went to trunkedradio.com and programmed all the info. into my
BC245XLT. But on some nights I can not get anything from 41/42 Div. I
even tried listening the old conventional way, and still nothing.
Does anyone know what frequency or trunk ID they are using.

Has anyone out there actually got an approved licence in their hands from
Industry Canada and how much does it cost eg: licensing and processing fees??
I've seen a whole lot of opinions out there but few hard facts such as
people who actually completed the process and have an official TAC in hand
as result of this process.
Thanks

The TAC is just for the receiver not the receivers owner and I believe it is already in place.

Would it be a TAC? I do not think so... as what you would be getting is a
license permitting you to have the scanner, and NOT a license of the scanner
itself. It already IS licensed and already has a TAC or it could not be
sold in Canada. As to what it would be called - I have no idea, and I
cannot find any application for the license on the IC web site. I refuse to
use the HAM license, since I am NOT a HAM and do not want to be one. I have
no intention of transmitting, and therefore will never need a call sign
either. However it looks like IC has NOT got a form for applying for a
license. As per IPC 2-1-04 one can give them reasons for believing that
their possession of a digital scanner is in the public interest, but that
would require some sort of application with the reasons presented, and there
is nothing that approaches the required format. I have emailed to ask how
to get the license, too.
