According to the RCMP press release (full text at end):

"Selected photographs of the facility will be available on the CFSEU/INSET
website www.cfseu.org at 2:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday, February 11th, 2003."

Out of curiosity, I checked in at their web site several times yesterday
(11th), and again today. As far as I can tell, there were never any such
photographs available on their web site.

Seems to me, you'd need organized law enforcement to fight organized crime.

Your computer has been blessed recently from a web site you went to... and
it was NOT this link. Find Ad-aware and download the LATEST version and all
updates. Install and it will get rid of this anglefire garbage, hopefully.
If not, look for something that will. Your web browser has been
compromised.

Seriously, look at that page again. On the left side the last link is 'contact'. It links to an anglefire site as do the rest of the links.

The way the Radioworld website looks it seem to say you need the TAC
just to buy the scanner. It should be just the card that you need the
TAC for.

I think that's because the card is a card and not a radio. The TAC would just be for radio type devices.

Guys, would you stop, think about it and perhaps do some research before
coming up with all sorts of conspiracy theories?
The main site is located at: http://www.cfseu.org/.
If you browse the site you will see that the links on the lefthand side
remain within the cfseu site.
If you go into the news releases section and click on a news release, the
links on the left now point to the angelfire.com site.
Angelfire appears to be a internet hosting service run by Lycos.
My simple guess is that the webmaster put the site together using angelfire
as his isp and then transferred it over to the cfseu site later. Apparently
he forgot to edit the newsreleases to correct the links.
It's not cookies, adware, spyware etc and really doesn't have anything to do
with radio.

Keep in mind Nancy that Trunkedradio.net contains only trunked radio
systems (Hamilton Police, fire etc.)
When it hasn't exceeded its monthly bandwidth allowance,
http://scannercenter.8m.com is a literal, unsorted listing of
frequencies... works well.

Yes but without the card it's just an analog scanner. I just wish IC
would just get it together and tell use one way or another it's legal
or not.
I still can't get over it being legal in the USA and not Canada...

Its not a matter of it being LEGAL, it hasn't been APPROVED **YET**. I
feel like a broken record here.
And no offense, Joe.. but you really need to learn how to edit your
replies. My eyes ache every time I try to figure out what you wrote in
a replied message. Its usually buried in the middle of miles of mostly
irrelevant quoted text. its getting to the point where I just skip your
messages, and I know I'm not the only one who feels this way.
