Hi Robin
I thought those cables would work.. i'm still planning to buy them and i
still have to modify my toucam pro... so i just hope everything works!
I started to search for these adapters USB to PARALLEL and i've found that
there are two families/kind: one is universal and transparent (the one i'll
buy this week!) while the other one is a specific adapter for some well
specified devices... well all that we need is to know if we are buying a
universal trasparent and hopefully working adapter!
I've found therefore that there are two versions of USB TO PARALLEL: if you
get a look at a pc side parallel port you find a female 25 wire, while to
the printer side parallel port you find a so callled "centronics" port.
Well: i've found that there are adapters from usb to parallel that do have a
centronics at their end; and others that have a female 25 wire (exactly like
pc side parallel port!). I bet these last ones are what we need.
Forgive you all my english....
DOES ANYONE TRIED A WEBCAM MODIFICATION THAT USES AN USB TO PARALLEL PORT?
PLESE LET US KNOW, WE CAN SAVE OUR MONEY AND TIME!
Nicola
