Hi Don,
I guess if you 2x2 binned the 414 to get the same 320x240 resolution
of the B+W QC you would get 4x more sensitivity for the same field
even without taking into account the likely increased sensitivity (or
more usefully signal/noise) of the CCD itself. The camera dynamic
range of 8 bits instead of the 6 bits of the QC would also be a big
advantage. Unlikely to be a fair contest;-)
