Thanks for the praise Rat,

<em class="quotelev1">> I noticed you show exposure times on the shots.. 10.5 sec for example.
<em class="quotelev1">> Are these single long exposures of 10.5 secs? If thats the case, you
<em class="quotelev1">> already have what you need to get to the next level.. just start
<em class="quotelev1">> taking multi exposures and stack.
<em class="quotelev1">>
<em class="quotelev1">> Grats on your first fuzzy though :)
<em class="quotelev1">>
<em class="quotelev1">> Rat.

Not quite true, I'm already taking multi-exposures and stacking,
it's just that the DVC325 has a noisy chip and is spec'd at 200 lux.
It just can't perform as well as the Vesta or Toucam, the only
comparison is it uses the NEC 16510 timing chip.
I wish these were individual frames pre-stacking, but they are not :(

Further, until I get the guts (I've only just calmed down from the 2nd
attempt at microsurgury soldering) to de-solder the CCD, flip it and
identify what familt it belongs to, I can only really try peltier cooling
to improve the sensitivity.....or buy/make a bigger light bucket (looks at
wife).

Steve B.
