Hello all!

I'm a new member to this interesting group and would like to ask some questions.
Firstly, I plan to buy a logitech quickcam 4000 PRO for some planetary imaging with my 10" LX200. I've heard, and seen, that this cam is good for that purpose. Secondly, I also intend to use the LX200 as a platform for some piggiback astrophotography.
Regarding this, does anyone here have experiences with a webcam as an autoguider? I have found a program called AstroSnap which claims to do the trick.
But will the exposure times for an unmodified webcam be too short for this purpose? I mean, what mag. is the limit? Anyways, how long is the max exposure time for an unmodified QC4000 PRO?

Any info is greatly appreciated!

Regards,

JP
