Aik,
I have sometimes found that QCV2 will not recognize the camera
initially and I have to run Vega first (Vega is Colin Bownes
program for image capture and video integration). Try running
QuickPict first. If this work properly, close the program and open
QCV2 (without rebooting the computer). Hopefully this will solve
your problem.

the quickpict that comes with it. All others, i.e. video recorders
(Vidcap32, Amcap, K3CCDTools, QCV2, etc.), refuse to show
me a preview at all. Oh, they will record if they recognise the
driver, but that's a bit pointless as I can't see anything! QCV2
just ignores the cam altogether. Is this a common problem? I
have tried every combination of parallel port options :O)
