I have only modded one camera so far, a QC Pro 3000 with an SC1 mod. No
amp-off, no cooling (nice big fat fan on the back of course, makes a
truely remarkable difference).
I would appreciate it if someone with an amp modded, but otherwise not
cooled camera would perform some real-world comparison for me. Obviously,
I would like to see darkframes of various exposure times (note the
gain/gamma/brightness settings please), and I would really love to see
some real images of objects. Ideally, if I could be picky, I would
request images shot at 30 sec, 60 sec, and then right up to 90 sec, where
I simply cannot go with my present camera.
I have seen Martin's initial comparisons:

Thanks as always to Martin for spear-heading the QC Pro modders, of which
I am now but one in a large number.
I don't honestly expect any one person to do tons of lengthy comparison
for me, but it would be nice to see some dark frames with and without mod
under otherwise identical circumstances and to see some actual images at
30 seconds (where I don't think the amp is hurting me) 60 seconds (where I
think I'm starting to seriously lose information) and 90 seconds (where I
pretty cannot go except under very specific camera settings, primarily
various white balances).
Anyway, if anyone wants to produce some data on this subject, I would
appreciate it. If not, thanks for wasting a few minutes reading this
request.
Cheers all!
