Hi all,
Included is today's Moon, less than 5 days old. I have virtually no view
towards the west, so my alternative is to shoot the new Moon in full
daylight, high in the sky. Today it was very cold and terribly windy, and I
could not avoid the Sun shining on the inside (east side) of my dew shield
(not good for contrast) !! I was imaging at around 6pm local daylight saving
time (terrible word), i.e. GMT+2.
I could hardly see anything on the screen, but I managed to get a faint
image to focus with. The resulting image is a mosaic from 9 AVI's.
Scope/camera: C8 + Mogg focal reducer + Mogg IRB filter + Camera: ToUcam 740
Processing: Stacking in Registax, Mosaic in Photoshop, noise reduction in
Neat Image, blending of noise-reduced version & original in Photoshop.
