Phew! - sure was a lot of collective wisdom. Now can anyone tell me what the component with three wires on a 6mm ceramic tube does / is? Looks a lot like the old resistors (30's era). The diodes and mozorb, I can identify. Might help those who dangle short bits of wire out of the window as antennae. Since we're a lot nearer the clouds here, I imagine the volts in each lighning strike are a lot less than GW3HWRs in those Welsh valleys;)- Bryce
