Hi all,
I picked up a few ZAPTRAPS (made by a firm called Strike technologies) - used for protecting computers on a LAN (I think). These are little boxes with a BNC connector on each end and a green earthing strap. Just for fun, I placed one between my antenna and Rx - no noticeable drop in sensitivity up to 30 MHz. What's your collective wisdom on using something like this to protect the PCR1000 front end from static ? I can't identify all the parts in the thing.
Just a thought before our Summer storms begin - Bryce
