1. I have a small laptop (Sony PCG-C1X) that has no parallel port so I use a USB to parallel adapter to communicate with my parallel port type HP printer so I was hoping I can use that same cable to interface with the ICOM PCR 1000.
Audio wise, the only audio input I have is a microphone input.
Anyone successfuly interfaced with such a setup?
Now for the real deal:
2. What features of the ICOM PCR1000 make it preferable to a table-top scanner, shortwave receiver, etc.?
