BTW, over a reasonable number of days the water content will have left
the slurry mixture and will become bonded sort of to the rod.

After it has dried, just put some earth on top to cover it.

After all, you don't want every cat in the area doing their thing on you
ground rod. Right? :) Ok Ok, just cover it with gorund soil.

The other option to all this is to dig the same hole with a post holl
digger and pound in the same rod. Then you would fill the hole with
crushed gravel. Then in the Summer, you would water that hole with your
hose to ensure better conductivity. Thing is with this system you will
have every neighbor asking you what are you doing watering that spot
every 2 days. Your answer would be of course, "I am watering my rod". Do
you want to really go through that? I wouldn't !!

Al
