It will do no improvement at all on frequencies over 20-30 Mhz.
On lower freq. it MAY improve, but only if you ground on a separat
groundpole or similar, not on the mains electrical ground, this will
probably
introduce more noice and statics to the reception.
As PCR-1000 use a unbalanced koax cable as antenna lead in the ground
system
for the antenna (if used) should be connected at the antennaside of the
koax, not at the receiver.

I am wondering if anyone has grounded their pcr-1000 to their house
ground rather than actually grounding it to physical earth? I want to
ground my receiver, but running a cable to the earth from my room is
kind of impracticle, though I could do it if really need be.
How much of an improvement of reception have people noticed with
grounding?
