What are you guys using for decoding rtty etc with the PCR-1000 ? I'm using
TalkPCR and would like a companion decoding program.

I have tried a lot of different programs, but the best is
HamScope, it is Public Domain and can be downloaded at

http://www.qsl.net/hamscope/

It does PSK31, CW, ASCII, MFSK, RTTY (if you install the MMTTY engine)

It is possible to decode 2 PSK or CW signals at the same time.

Regards Max

I use (and am very happy with) TrueTTY from www.dxsoft.com . It is
nagware - you can download it and run it for free, but registering it
(IIRC its US$39) makes it all that much better.

Although TrueTTY does PSK31, I tend to use Digipan for that...

Cheers

Hi All,

I have been happily using Radio Raft for Ute Monitoring, good support from
the programmer Francois Guillet F6FL. It will run in a window under Win98SE,
but performs better run in a DOS environment. Its great advantage for Ute
Monitoring is it's ability to identify the different modes without
intervention from the user, it is not 100%, but it is sometimes nice to
relax and just tune up and down the bands without having to punch any
buttons!

Follow the link to check it out http://perso.wanadoo.fr/radioraft/

Other systems used here in the past and still occasionally used are:
Hamcomm
MixW32
Win Warbler
BLT
Intercom
TrueTTY
Rckrtty
Skysweeper
Wdecode

Best Regards from Jakarta, Indonesia.

Richard

Max,

I downloaded HamScope as well as the RTTY engine and packet engine and you
are right.... it works fine.

I use Digipan for PSK31 on my transceiver and HamScope is pretty similar but
with more features and modes. Thanks for the tip.

Hi Mike
I have found a program called Skysweeper to be fantastic and very easy
to use.

MixW2 is another very good one. Not free, however.
