Judy, I deleted 27 just now. There was no correct form for Vygotsky.
Overall, the recognition decreased by misrecognizing even simple words.

The point is, it was transcribed correctly on first dictation after I added it that way. You and Ilana both seemed not to have it recognized properly.

You added it and trained it, and *then* it was recognised "first time". I
had not added it. I dictated it without adding it, that is:
I said "I am writing a book on Vygotsky" and it was not recognised
I corrected the misrecognition
I then saved the speech files (probably unnecessary)
I then dictated "I am writing a book on Vygotsky" and it was recognised.
I then managed to knock the word out of my vocabulary. So the next time, I
added it without training it, it was recognised first time.
In other words, my first time dictation really was first time, yours was
not. So it is not surprising that I should have problems on first dictation
while you, on what was in fact second dictation and after training, should
not.
I hope the situation is now clear

Ilana
The important thing is, as Tim says, for you to finish your work. But your
voice files are clearly degenerating fast. There are two immediate steps you
can take -- alternatives, unless the first does not work -- to put this
right.
1) (On the DragonBar) Click NaturallySpeaking, Manage Users, and Restore
User.
2) (If the words are still there) delete all the bizarre custom words.
After that try not to save your files at the end of a session unless you've
made a change you know you want to keep
-- that should see you through temporarily

Ah. I had misunderstood what you wrote.
I did know, of course, that you could add the word
through the correction window. Since I didn't think
DNS would know this word out of the box, I did not
think to try dictating it but chose to add it first
using "add word."
FYI, "add word" also works for phrases even though
the box is titled "add individual word." It probably
does not work for phrases whose "sounds-like" form is
different from the written form.

I tend to dictate words even if I think the program won't know them, but
your way is probably more efficient.
It probably

I don't think it does. I haven't actually tested it, it simply seems
unlikely
