| Subject | Problems with IE commands |
I finally searched the tech notes on ScanSoft's page and found a reference
to my problem. It said there were two possibilities: 1) you have spyware
on your computer and I should run an anti-spyware program to clean it. 2)
install service pack 2.
I already had service pack 2 and I very frequently check my system for
viruses and spyware. However, there was a time last fall when I acquired an
insidious spyware that wreaked havoc with IE. I changed anti-spyware
programs and antivirus programs and cleaned it out. This prompted me to
check Internet Explorer, instead of believing the problem was with
NaturallySpeaking, and I looked under tools and Manage Ad-ons. I decided to
disable each one, one at a time, and see if that fixed the problem. It did.
That name was a series of letters and numbers and was obviously left there
by some spyware attack. This problem had me frustrated, so I am very glad
that it is fixed. Hope this helps somebody else.

IE problem with NaturallySpeaking 8 .0
While using NaturallySpeaking 7 .0 professional I lost the ability to use
Any of the DNS functions in Internet Explorer. I cannot dictate text into a
web page, use the radio button, checkbox, text, click image or any other of
the DNS built in IE commands. I just upgraded to 8.0, hoping that would fix
my problem, but it did not. I am a quadriplegic and totally rely on voice
so this makes navigating the Internet very difficult. I'm so used to saying
the name of a link and having it jump there. All of the IE commands built
into DNS are valuable to me. Can anyone please help me fix this problem?
